does anyone know if you can do letter writing using the machine control on a xr760 heidenhain so far i,ve been using cad cam to write then transfer to machine, and this machine is brand new helppppppppppppppphttp://www.cnczone.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif

there is to my knowledge no lettering in the 760, i always use a program where i put all the letters ans numbers in a label and in the begin of the program i just put in coordinate shift cycle7 and a rotation cycle 10 and also a scale cycle11 this program copy into your program fill int the datum shift rotation and scale then call the apropriate lbl for your text and run dont forget if you write a program like this after every symbol put a datum shift in your lbl otherwise you write your letter on top of eachoter. sorry for the bad english but im from belgium hop i was a help for you.

as promised the program for lettering in if you need help feel free tocontact me again every number or symbol has a lbl in rule 16 you can put lbl calls for your text try them all to see what lbl is what number if you need longer text just put in more lbl calls
