Have a Bridgeport Boss 4. Wanting to upgrade control and go to servos. My question is on the Y axis the servo motor doesn't fit. I would like to avoid mounting the motor sticking out the front and instead make a mounting plate that slants down 45 degrees in order to mount the servo close to the X axis servo. Is the original configuration that holds the Y axis stepper motor also the bearing housing for the Y axis ball screw? Has anyone done this before? Also when using servos is it better to use the 1:1 pulley ratio or what? |

| THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for the replies. Any chance on getting the make and model of the servo pictured by mactec54. I was concerned about this do to the responses that the Keling servo's were just to long to fit. |
