Hello, I have a Bridgeport series 1 Boss 5 mill that I converted to Servo's using Mach 3 and Gecko drivers. Everything is up and running and I am getting around to tuning the motors and setting the acceleration in Mach 3. What is a reasonable acceleration setting for each axis? I am running 3:1 belt reduction on the X and Y and 2:1 on the Z axis. All axis's are using 5 turns per inch ball screws and I am using Keling 1125 oz in servo's on all axis's with 500 count encoders. The X and Y axis velocity is limited to 90 IPM using a 45,000 kHz kernel speed. Thanks, Mike |
