Ok this is all off memory so bare with me. 1.) you need to find out what the backlash actually. To do so, put a tenth indicator on the table and set it to the center of the quill of the machine. Zero out the indicator, then program a inch movement away from the spindle. Then move it a inch back to where you started. Whats the difference? Do this test a few times as doing it once wont really give you a true answer. 2.) Go to shut down the machine like normal. Datum, shutdown. Then you have 5 SEC. to hitt "SSS" enter. (hit the "S" button 3 times followed by the enter button.) This will take you to the normal windows desktop screen. 3.) Open S-200 program (double click the icon.) This is the software truely controling the system. 4.) When this opens up, look for the configure button on the screen. Like 3rd one down from the top of the colum on the very right of the screen. Hit this button. 5.) Will ask for password. There could be 4 possible ones that I ran into. These are CAPS sensitive "HARDINGE" "hardinge" "SOFTSERVO" "softservo" type these without the "..." 6.) if these do not work, this is where my help stops. If you get past, continue on. This password is changable once its entered and if it was changed then who knows. 7.) There will be like 7 pages of "parameters" look for x backlash comp and y backlash comp. Enter there true backlash value. 8.) Before exiting this program. Hit the save button in the right bottom corner of the screen and then open up the EZ Vision program again. 9.) Then try the test in step one again and see if it got rid of the backlash. If not do this process over again. Hope this helps you out....good luck!! |
