    Hiwin ballscrews too tight

    Hi everyone!

I am trying to install hiwin ballscrews on my series 1 BP, after struggling for hours installing ballnut into the housing and putting the bolts in it, I finally tested Y axis and got so DISAPPOINTED.

The torque required to turn the Y handle is pretty high, around 11-14 in-lb depending on the location. It feels like ballscrews are harder to turn than ACME screws.

So I loosen the yoke bolts and bearing block bolts, took the dowel pins out and tried again. The best I could do is 7-10 in-lb.

Is that what it really takes to turn the precision ground, preloaded ballscrew? I am also concerned with relocating dowel pins. Hiwin kit is supposed to be bolt on kit...

Thank you very much in advance for the suggestions!
