Bridgeport Interact Price?

Does anybody have an idea what a working 1987 Bridgeport Interact 412 with a 151 Hiedenhien controller might be worth?

Nice hunk of iron, but the control will die soon if its still alive. Great refit machine. Condition is everything but my guess is around $1000.

that is a small vmc, not the knee mill, correct? NOt uber valuable, but the control is solid, you may have to make occasional investments, as with any machine

The control is hopelessly obsolete. I would say that if it works, you can even pay $1,500. You can then sell the control as working, make some money, and refit with something modern, like EMC (which is what I did), Mach3, Camsoft etc.

I paid $500 for my minty Series II Interact 2 with a NON working control.

Hang on a moment! The TNC151 on it's own would fetch more than $1000 this side of the pond

I sold mine, AS IS, and I said that it was probably broken. I did suspect it to be broken, though I did not know for sure. I fetched $355 for the control.

I would say $1,500 would be a reasonable number. I paid $500 for my mill, with the bad control.

It was, of course, a gamble, though it worked out well.

Andrew,I agree with you.The Heidenhain 145`s,150`s,151`s and 155`s are ultra reliable controls.I don`t know what the poster who says it will soon die is basing his statement on but in my opinion he`s talking crap,the other poster who says to get rid of it couldn`t even tell if his was working or not so,hardly qualified to judge.
I see loads of people buying Bridgeports and making no effort to learn the Heidenhain and just toss it away to retrofit with a control that only the retrofitter can use.
I wouldn`t even mind if they tossed the Bridgeport and kept the Heid.
