    Bridgeport ez-trak dxII

    Hello,

I'm trying to cut a half circle with cutter comp. When I program it, in the conversational mode, f2 cutter comp on I enter all the information. m arc, and I also enter all the required info then I turn c.c.off. What happens is the tool feeds over to the allowance position then I get an error of, no feed rate specified????I did enter it everywhere it asked.
Any and all suggestions will be very appreciated.

    Thanks

That error is a software bug. Drove me crazy a few times too. It has been a long time but either you can try "comp one line" or you need to put in a few fake small moves because cutter comp looks 5 lines ahead. Thus if comp off is in those 5 lines it will never turn on.

    Hi Gorge,

Thanks for the reply. Its not if the comp in on or not. It does turn on I can see it in the readout. Its the feed that it supposedly has none. Will the 5 lines ahead fix the feed problem? If it is a bug do I need to update software?

    Thanks
