used to have a 145 control now installed a 151 control. Symtoms are the machine boots up normally, no errors reported and the enables button clicks on and stays on, but servos don't run and will not traverse the axis for the initialization. the servo drive cards have a "ignition release" LED's that should be but are not lighted, so i know that is why the drives are not activated. but i don't know why the controler won't enable the servo drives. I have checked the 24 V and it is present at the controler. the logic system uses this also but can not find the fault yet. The lube is not low, i jumpered those wire as the float was bad. The servos and such used to work fine and have not had much use, but now it will not run with the new control. Anyone have any clues as to what to check? i have the wiring diagram and trouble shooting guides so something to go on, but i have very limited experience with the hiedenhain controler and the typical failures with the series I R2C3mills. Any one with advise or similar experience they can share? |

I have this exact combination, so I know it works Is the control known good? If the enable stay enabled the drives should be enabled, there is a light IIRC that comes one once they close the loop, but a couple that come on when they power up will the spindle fire? what parameter set did you use?

your right the 2 types of lights; the ones that show the drives are powered up are on. the lights that show ignition, i guess closed loop are not on. i thought it had to close the loop to traverse the axis. but maybe not. Spindle won't fire either. nothing. parameters i used are from here; http://igor.chudov.com/manuals/Bridg...Parameters.pdf used to run fine, controler boots and is stable, but not known good, but was told it was good, and it behaves (boots) like it is fine but nothing will move??

If your spindle won't fire then you are not actually enabled. I just checked on mine, it does not need to be homed to fire the spindle, just enabled there is a thread here with a title like heidenhain parameters with IIRC my exact parameters in a downloadable list[how useless is a pdf or image] check fuses and such

Thanks Gus, i will look into that. so far no clue all fuses are good something is not happy though, i think i need to check the drives/cables and make sure they are talking. and the relays are all working, i believe it must be one of the interlocks on the logic which is all 24V stuff i looked for you parameters, can you re-post here? i did not find them.
