Can anyone tell me the correct size stepper to use on a Series II (the BIG Bridgeport, 4 hp spindle size) It has a Centronics conversion but is having problems. Thinking of converting to steppers and Mach3. Right now it has SEM 29 in lb servos. which is about 488 in oz but is a 500 oz-in stepper equal?? I have some 1250 OZ-in steppers. It is not for production so speed is not critical Thanks, Bill |

| You would be better keeping the servos, if the drives you have now can not accept step and direction signals you could get new drives. The Dugong from CNCdrive - motion controls should be a good match for your motors. Hood |
