There is alot of parts to be had for these machines pretty cheap. what is your machine saying on the screen? I have 2 EZ-TRAK's personally i like the features and won't upgrade. There is enough people on here to help you fix it pretty easy

Thanks for the responce
when you turn on the power the display says "NO Signal" in the center of the screen for a few seconds and then is blank. the CR 1 relay goes in and out once at the same time the red lights on the large computer circuit board blink on and off once.

I could be wrong but sounds like the computer power supply is shutting down. check the cooling fan on it and make sure it is turning and verify the +12v and +5v dc power is there on one of the spare drive connectors. i had a power supply in one of mine act like that. if it's not that i would suspect mother board issues. let me know what you find and i will try to help if i can.

Yeah, especially if it's the original power supply. I've seen some from that era able to supply enough juice to spin the CPU fan and nothing else.

A new one from Amazon will run in the neighborhood of $35 or so.

We experienced a similar problem on our machine. We contacted EMI inc.(601-287-4240). They sell an updated motherboard to replace the old 486 board. Our cmos battery died and corroded the motherboard. The new board is around $800, but it eliminates the video board and add-on drive controller board. Our board should arrive in a few days, I'll let you know how easy(or hard) the upgrade is. If it is the power supply, I took one out of an old pc in the basement and it worked just fine going on 7 years now.

Thanks for the info. I don't know what the problem was , as it started working after sitting for a week and has been fine ever since. but I do need to do something with it as I can't have it crap out when I need it. I thought something was loose but now no matter what I try I can't make it quit working.

eztrac motherboard upgrade

taking into account I have replaced motherboards in PC's before: The board got here at 10:30 this morning, its 12:44 and the machine is up and running.
Thats with a half hour lunch in between. Everything plugged right in and lined right up, no muss no fuss.
