Friends, Is any one of u have experience to open heidenhain rotary encoder assembly ROD350 so as to try to clean its glass scale? Thanks in advance wahid bashir  |

| Denatured alcohol and lint free tissue, the trick is the reading head which is very difficult without dismantling the encoder. BTW, I had one that developed intermittent fault on the spindle encoder, when opened up it was full of coolant, it still read 75% of the time!!. Al.

| Friend, Rotary encoder has been dismantled from ac servo motor but it seems to be sealed. What will be the possible way to open it so that glass scale and its reader head can be approached. |
