    Obselete encoder replacement

We have a Bridgeport CNC machine with TNC370 control. Its Z axis motor encoder is not working. The specs are as under.
    Motor Spec: SIEMENS 1FT5074-0AC71-1-Z
    Encoder : HEIDENHAIN ROD 350 500 P/R

We want to get new or used encoder. Could any one help me in this regard.
As i have searched it is no more available

    Is there its alternate available.
    Kindly guide.

IIRC, the ROD 350 is a 5v TTL output? You may want to confirm this, as many Heidenhain encoders are low signal sine wave output.
The 5v versions can usually easily be subbed by one with the same resolution, Hengstler make close versions of the Heidenhain range.
If you need info or a spec sheet of the original, I have P.M.'d you a contact that you may be able to get any information on it, or a Heidenhain replacement number if you prefer.

Dear Very much thanks for your kindness
I have service manual of 370 in which its current interface has been mentioned. Encoder output is going to connector X3 whose description is there and i am going to upload it. Plz guide me more so that problem may be
    solved.

The four axis show the low signal sine wave type, the spindle encoder 5v TTL.
So it looks like the Z is the former type.
I am sure that Heidenhain can offer a sub if these are obsolete.
As I mentioned you may also find a sub in the Hengstler range as they offer low signal sine wave also.
The 5v TTL are much easier to locate and substitute.
