Hi! A lot has been said about the max speeds achieved by several on Series 1 mill retrofits ranging generally from 50 up to 200 IPM with the original and new steppers and servos. Being 120IPM the max speed of the original textron control. But most of the time the acceleration used is not indicated. Does any one knows the acceleration used in the original Textron Bridgeport mill? I my case I am using three original Superior motors with 120IPM rapids and 5 in/sec/sec acceleration. Although I can get up to 150IPM and 10in/sec/sec but use lower to be on safe side. Thanks in advance for any reply! Luis |
