Hello, New to the sight and I see many helpful people are here. I have a late 90's Bridgeport Torqcut 22 with dx32 controller. When I fired it up this morning and tried to enable the drives I got an alarm. "PM Y AXIS DRIVE OVER CURRENT FAULT". Things I have tried bases on other similar threads and manual trouble shooting -Checked fuse on Y axis board (Not blown) -Checked all voltages (All seem to check out) -Swapped X and Y motors ( Same Y axis alarm) -Axis drive boards all have green lights on Any help would be appreciated on direction to go next or what I should be looking for. Thanks Jeff |

| Might be a bad axis drive board. Swap the X and Y drive board and see if the error follows. Note that the Z board is usually a higher current board since Bridgeport went to a Parvex motor to support the Z axis without a counter weight. All these motors are the DC type and have brushes. These need to be checked every 4000 hours of running per a service bulletin from Bridgeport. George

| Thanks George for the fast answer. I switched the drive boards and the error did follow. So I take that as it is the Y axis board. Anything I can look for on the board itself or is it time to change out the board? Thanks again, Jeff |
