| hello everyone, need assistance in how to remove the dial holder from the shaft to replace the bearing. The Dial holder appears to be frozen to the shaft and will not budge while using a gear puller. I do not what to damage the bearing retainer ring or bearing retainer adjactent to dial holder. Any suggestions or tricks to trade! |

| The dial holder is friction fit. Just pulls off. Some easier. Some harder. Could let some penetrating spray sit in it overnight. George

| MCFletch If you want to take the dial holder off the shaft they just unscrew,Sometimes they have locktite on them, & may need a little heat to break the loctite You can also take the whole shaft out with both bearings on, to work on it as a unit. Here is a photo of the dial holder, if your part is like this, it screws off,I have some used parts for these units if you mess anything up
