Is there any way to see reference signal or home signal for rotary encoder with one ref. mark on the haidenhain control?
A large number of Heidenhain encoders are either 11µa or 1v p-p sine wave.
So you should be able to catch it on a 'scope, preferably one with capture on trigger.
If 5v TTL then you can see it on a meter if the encoder is turned as slow as possible.
