I am trying to remove the motor from my Series I. Unfortunately the spring and the pad it seats against are rusted. The manual says "Using two screws "A", compress spring "C"". Screws "A" are the small socket head cap screws that retain the lower motor cover. The two holes in the pad for the spring are thru holes; there is no thread on them. The bolts don't seat against the spring when I stick them through. Any ideas? ![]() Thanks, Brenton |

| Nevermind. It appears as though the wrong (too short) bolts were retaining the cover. I got out a flash light and saw the casting with the two 10-24 tapped holes in it. I grabbed a set of 1.25" 10-24 bolts and they worked just fine. |
