Have a bridgeport textron series 1 with heidenhain tnc145 .We got all axis to move and count ,entered parameters [78] . Can anybody walk me through the homing sequence ? On power up you get the power interrupt message, clear that. Then the beginning of homing axis but im not sure what its to do. IE which limit should the axis travel to first [the side with one or side with 2 limits]? will it then go to the otherside automatically and stop, then i start next axis? to witch limit should it count up? when do i get the numbers for parameters 31 through 36 |

| you need to enter numbers for the end of travel before you home look at the parameter lists posted elsewhere in this section. Is your machine an interact or an r2c3? the parameters and homing sequence are different there will be numbers you can start with in those lists, it would be wise to make all of them smaller so you do not hit a hard limit. once you have end of travel numbers entered, it is simple CE [power enable] cycle start cycle start cycle start until it is done you can gradually tweek the numbers until you get maximum travels. |

| the bridgeport is a r2c3.We took a guess and entered: mp31 +400 mp32 -400 mp33 +400 mp34 -400 mp35 +400 mp36 -400 Then changed mp 26[polarity of output voltage], mp 23,24,25[counting direction x,y,z] and mp 18,19,20[approach direction to the reference marks]untill each axis traveled directly to the side with two limit switches and stopped with the counts going up as it approached limits. But thats all it did. I dont think it homed properly because i didnt do any thing else? I found a parameter list: mp31 +457,327 mp 32 -1270 mp33 +304,928 mp34 -1270 mp35 +1270 mp36 -127127. Are these better numbers to start with? |

| Entered parameter list today. Z and X axes worked ok ,the Y axis traveled the wrong way [toward the single dog]. Reversed the motor and tac wires so table traveled to the double dog . manual mode came up on screen which then allowed me to run rapid feeds and hand wheel. We had to change some of the limit switch parameters so axis would stop before losing reset. Works great.Only problem left is rapid feed on Z axis doesnt work. Probably the switch but i haven't looked into it yet. Any ideas? thanks dave |
