    ez-trak sx setting parameter error

this is the first bridgeport cnc i have ever worked on. i do industrial maintenance for a living. I have searched the web and this forum for answers but i would like a second opinion. the machine was taken out of service a few years ago and sold on a bid. was functional when taken out. i have the spindle working and the computer boots. as i have read it goes through the waiting for bmdc count it hits zero then gives the error "setParameter (1) FAILED error setting parameter 1" i replaced the power supply it had a bad fan. i have tried 7 different antique mainboards. i get the same result i have checked the bios looks good. this unit has a dom instead of a hard drive. the bmdc card shows one red light during boot once the program does the bmdc count down the light goes out. i noticed it was missing a led i replaced it now but i don't have access to the machine i just have a comp dom and the bmdc card. i'm thinking the bmdc card has isuues but would like another opinion. thanks for any input

Watch the CRT as the machine boots. The BMDC should not count down to Zero. If it does, it is not loading correctly.
The other possibility is that the software is not meant for that version of the BMDC. There are a bunch of parameters that load and it all must match.
I am assuming the DOM and software may have come from EMI-inc.net.
The SX machine when new, booted from a floppy and used DOS 5.0.

Thanks for the reply. the machine does count down to zero. the machine was pulled from service from a big company and replaced with a new machine. i assume the dom was a upgrade from emi, the bmdc board has a emi sticker on it. from what i have gathered is that the bmdc board isn't starting up correctly. i have tried the pfm program. i went into the tuner section of pfm it just waits for the bmdc card with no result. the machine was functional when it was removed so i assume the software should be ok. the machine was hauled around 30 miles on a trailor which doesn't help matters but since it uses a "disk on a module" in my oppinion the data should have survived un damaged since it is digital no moving parts. if i run ezload and load bmdc.bin the computer responds " BMDC Loader Status = (0): Driver loaded, BMDC Intializing." "Intializing BMDC." "Continuing Startup." the lights blink on the bmdc card when i run ezload to load bmdc.bin. but i never get a green light on the card. i have checked L1 i read about, it's ok. anything else i can do besides replace the bmdc card?

does anyone know what the lights mean on the bmdc card? i never get the green light on (d1), the red (d3) and whatever color (d2) ws supposed to be is on till the program waits for the bmdc. once the wait starts (d3) goes out
