Someone I know said that he heard that "Bridgeport Interact mills cannot mill perfect holes because their timing belts stretch". Just how true is this? How stiff are the timing belts and how much does their stretching affect accuracy of the mill? i |

| Ballscrew backlash is several orders of magnitude a greater factor than belt stretch. A properly tensioned belt will have almost no stretch and millions of machines were and are built using belts. My BTC-1 makes pretty round holes but since there is .003 backlash in the screws they are off at the compass points. No offense Gus. LOL Mike
