Hi All, I am new to this forum, Hope you might be able to help. I Have just purchased a Interact series 1 with 151 controll, And have a few questions as I am new to this machine and controll. The coolant pump doesnt seem to work, there is a lot of sludge in the bottom of the tank which could be jamming the pump, maybe blown a fuse or tripped out. Do you have to have the tank filled with coolant? and do you have to turn the pump on with a M command as well as the drip ,flood switch. I also would like to link up my computer to the 151 control how do I do this? Thanks for any help. John |

| Thanks Gus, One other problem is the y axis judders, when I turn the machine on, It smoothes out if I move the Y forward and backwards but if I leave it for a while it judders again. I believe this is a problem caused by coolant and oil getting into the motor. Can anyone give me instruction how to remove motor dissamble and clean? John |

swap servos or motors to confirm the problem before you disassembled the motor. it may also cause by a servo fault. |

| basically remove the pulley, remove the 4 bolts that hold the servo to the case and slide the servo out. Couple of methods that hold the pulley on, one of mine was friction with tapered bushings, built in holes to help back it out. Encoder and tach come off of the back, a couple of long bolts hold the case together. Don't drop it, magnets break and you are screwed. Slow speed error I think I would suspect tach brushes. I did have a leaky one in the same spot that would collect coolant and need cleaning once a year, but it would error at speed I dropped that one and had to buy new, that fixed the problem tho.... check brushes before taking it all apart |
