Upgrade TNC145 to TNC150

My TNC 145 controller has unfortunately died and I have the opportunity to buy a TNC150 controller. Four questions ...


There is no integrated LCD readout on the 150 controller as opposed to the 145. I presume the XYZ readout is shown on the screen. So will 145 screen be ok ?

Will the 145 post processor do for the 150 controller ?

Is all the wiring to the 150 controller the same as the 145 ?

Can the 150 controller still only accept 1000 lines of code ?

The monitor will work, am running a 151 this way now.

the wiring is the same, although there is a small difference in the way the trip dog wiring is done. I sold the 145 to the guy I sold the interact to and had to add a wire to that, but I think I did not have to on the machine I am running

Anyway, the symptom is it won't home properly.

You will need to create a set of parameters, which is pretty easy.

Otherwise it is plug and play

I do not know the differences between a 150 and a 151 but the 151 has more memory multiple programs.

programming is always forward compatible all your old programs will work, but you may wish to modify them for efficiency, newer is better
