Series II Info Request

Hello! I just purchased a Series II R2E4 w/ Boss 9-II controller. Does anyone have any PDF technical info about the machine they might be able to send?

Once it's paid for, next task is going to be moving it! Any tips out there? I've moved Series 1's before, but this guy is a bit bigger.

Thanks in advance!!

weight?

Could anyone tell me the weight of a series II? I am going to need to get a pallet jack to lift it. I was assuming it was 6 or 7k lbs. Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks!

My book for the R2E3 series II says 5000 lbs and your machine should be close to that.

I have PDF scan of the sales flyer from an R2E4 but it is 30 MB in size. If your email can take it, I will send it to you.
For a complete set of manuals you will need a maintenance manual, a parts manual specifically for the series 2, an operating manual, and a programming manual.

Machine Dimensions

I inspected the machine today and got exact measurements of it from the manuals. It looks like the Bridgeport book says it is 89" high. My doorways are about 87/88ish.
Is there a top cover I could remove that could cut the height down a few inches for the move? I'm hoping to not have to cut slots in the tops of my doorways...

The only thing you could do is to take the belt housing off. It would be a bit of work. The goal being to take the front spindle pulley shaft off. It is as tall as the belt housing. You may also need to take the Z axis motor off.

Side wings

Do the "wings" on the ends of the table come off? They stick well beyond the table itself. In my cursory inspection I couldn't tell whether they were an integral part of the cross slide assembly or not.
If they don't come off, I'll probably have to remove the whole cross slide.(I've been told I can't remove any walls getting it in!)
Thanks for all your help!
