Haas guy! cant figure out dx32

all right, I finally got all the bugs worked out of my v2xt's speed control and now I've moved on to programming. I used Haas machines at my old job and became pretty familiar with their language. I've read the programming manuals for the brideport and have found that alot of the g-codes are the same. what i don't like about the v2xt's is when you have a programming error it doesn't tell you what the error is. My biggest question is how do you start off a program for this machine? what do the first few lines need in them? I would appreciate any information anyone has about programming these things. thank you.

Proven Code

This is some proven code I use to run some 1/4 midget engine linkage parts with? I've included sections of the code of an endmill running cutter comp, a peck drill cycle as well as the end of the program so you can see how I wrap it all up. The single quotations allow notes to be added that the control will ignore. This is code I run on a 1995 Bridgeport Torq Cut 22. If I recall correctly I created this in Mastercam and probalby cleaned it up a little by hand. I come from a world of Fanucs, Yasnacs, Okumas, Mazaks, and Haas so I understand the learning curve. DX-32 isn't bad once you get the hang of it other than the tool setting procedure. What a nightmare when compared to the simplicity of other machines.

DX-32

meanmachine85:
What is your procedure for setting Tool Length Offsets? I would like to learn this control along with you. I'm struggling also. Take a look at this short sample program and let me know what you think. The program is a Center Drill, Drill, Tap operation. It worked for me but my TLO are not correct.

Regards,

Bob
