tool life managment time

Hi All,

I already posted this on the fanuc forum, and got no joy - hoping someone here can help?


I'm struggling to get tool life management working properly on our Hardinge mill.

I can register all the tools ok, and get the tool life mangement working, but the tool life expires in about a minute, regardless of the number I select. I suspect I'm using milliseconds rather than minutes for the units of time, but what (if any) is the parameter to change it?

My tool life register program looks like this:

:8003(TOOL LIFE REGISTER PROGRAM)

P1L1075(GROUP 1 TIME 1000 MINS)
T1H1D1(TOOL 1 L-OFFSET, DIA-OFFSET)
P2L1075(GROUP 2 TIME 1000 MINS)
T2H2D2(TOOL 2 L-OFFSET, DIA-OFFSET)
etc...

I'm clearly doing something stupid, but can anyone tell me what it is?

Hardinge should have a applications engineer that can help you. Call them.

You'd think that wouldn't you? But no, no joy there and the installation guy couldn't get it to work either.
