Anyone Need A J-Head Quill Drive? | | I've got an after-market quill drive made for a J-Head machine I no longer need. I ordered it for my machine, but by the time it arrived, I had already built and installed my own, so I no longer need it. It was manufactured by Majestic Machinery down in LA. It's nicely made with a powder-coated cast aluminum housing with enough room to accomodate a scale and limit switches (though neither is provided). It uses a high-precision zero-backlash ballscrew, and high-quality Japanese AC bearings, and will accomodate either a NEMA34 or NEMA42 stepper or servo motor. I have only the NEMA34 motor mount plate, but making a NEMA42 plate would be trivial. It mounts easily to the head tramming bolts, and requires no premanent modifications whatsoever to the machine to install.
If you're interested, please PM me.
