Hi, Your method will depend on any constraints/encumberances ie budget/time/machine/dimensional and positional tolerances. You could u-drill the holes undersize then follow up with either adjustable boring heads to semifinish/finish OR circular pocket with a semi-finishing and finishing endmill OR a combination of both methods. Obviously if tolerances and surface finishes don't matter a jot just bang a size u-drill in there and be done with it... It really all depends on whats most important. You should aim to fulfill the following three important criteria: Good, Cheap and Quick. Remember though the general rule of thumb which is: - If it is Good and Quick it will NOT be Cheap. If it is Good and Cheap it will NOT be Quick. If it is Cheap and Quick it will NOT be Good. DP |
