Hello,

Wondering if anyone on here has successfully setup working RS-232 communications on thier EZ-Path 1?

I've recently updated the software to the latest provided by EMI, also added a backplane and SBC. Unforunately, I can't get the EZ-Path software to recognize that there is a working COM port in the machine.

When trying to use the built in Comm feature, I just get a message that COM1 is not detected. I was able to access the machine parameters from a DOS prompt but didn't see anything there that will help, although it is very possible I overlooked something.

In an attempt to verfiy that COM1 was actually working, I used the dos Echo command, "ECHO test>com1" and was able to communicate with my laptop (successfully recieved the word "test" in my terminal program).

But nothing from within the EZ-Path software. Unforunatley I just purchased this machine and it required work when I got it, hence the upgrades, so never was able to test RS-232 before upgrading.

I can't even see anything that would let me change baud rate, data bits, etc.

Thanks,
Nate
