I have a 720 with a heidenhain control. What kind of manual do you need?
Hi All,
I am looking for a parts manual for a machine we just got. It is a 1989 Bridgeport Interact 720 with a Fanuc 0-Mate controller. I have talked to Hardinge and they are not able to help. They said that when they bought Bridgeport they did not get all the manuals. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
M.G.Machinist

I need the Bridgeport manual for the machine. I was able to get the Fanuc manuals. Do you have parts? We have some parts that are broken on the toolchanger.
Thanks for any info.
I wonder, are the Brits any more helpful than Hardinge? Any comments from the other side of the pond?
The mechanical parts are common with the DX-32 control. What I am not sure is if the motors for the tool arm and the tool carrosel are 100VAC or 220Vac.
Are your drives Siemens?
The maintenance manual for this machine would also have all the schematics. It would be very valuable to get and it should have a parts section.
The 0M-Mate control is few and far between. Not very popular as it is was very tedious to use as you have to cursor all over the page to do what you want to do. Even i do not have any data on it nor the 412 that came with this control.

Gus,
I have not try to get a hold of anyone on the other side of the pond? Hardinge gave me a number to a guy that worked for Bridgeport and he gave me the part number for the manual which is 21800183 but he told me to call Hardinge back and they said it was unavailable.
George,
We also have a Bridgeport VMC-800 machine here with a DX-32 controller. It is nothing like the Interact 720. The Interact 720 has Fanuc drivers on it which I have been able to get manual for.
You are correct in saying that the 0-Mate control is very tedious because you have to cursor all over the page.
OK, this rings a different bell. The 720 had the tool carosel come forward and then down with the use of air cylinders for up and down and forward and back. I can scan the tool changer section of a 720 with the TNC control next time i am at the office. Just need a email address.

That would be great! My email is machineshop@saussersteel.com
Thanks,

The part number on my Bridgeport 720 Maintenance Manual shows 1800092.
Attached are two sheets of parts with the cartoons of the tool changer.

Tried sending you the maintenance manual, FANUC 0MF manual, schematics, and ETS but it would not go through.
