Maybe try dialing back max accel rate(s) on steppers. Check wires, make sure nothing is loose, yada, yada.

Have had issue where rapid moves would sometimes jam up Z on my BOSS 5 w/ OEM steppers - reducing max feed / accel couple ticks seemed to resolve issue. Good luck.

Hi thanks for replying. I have checked all the wires etc and dialed it way back I am thinking I have a bad drive I am using some leadshine ma860h drivers. And when I first put it together I had to get another driver. It will work great if I jog x and y together or y and z move y by itself and it sounds horrible

Guess easy way test that is swap X / Y drivers and see if it happens on X. Growl isn't always bad drive. Loose wire or settings common too.

that said - I honestly had issues with leadshines out of box. Ended up with Gecko 203v FWIW.

Watch your step counter while jogging one step at a time. Does your counter go back and forth when you are stepping the same direction? I had some of my wires mixed up when I put my machine together. When trying to move slowly it would seem like it wasn't moving but at high speeds it would jog but not always the proper direction
