EZ Trak Wont Jog Z Axis

I have a EZ Trak series I, 3 axis mill 2001 manufacture date. I let the machine sit for about 3 weeks then booted it up and got an X axis commanded move to far alarm. Check the parameters and they where all crazy numbers, corrected the parameters and now it homes fine with no alarms. X and Y axis will jog but Z axis will not jog, when push the F3 button to jog the Z axis it does nothing. Z axis will function in a program or Do Event mode. Could this be the CMOS battery? Mother board is only 2 years old.
I have searched the forum but did not really find anyone with simular issues

After spending many hours try checking cables and connections I found my bootup disc and ran it. Machine now is working fine.
