    Default Torq-cut single phase

Hi everyone, I know this has been discussed. Converting Bridgeport Torq-cut to single phase.
But my brain wants to know how removing one wire from the VFD allows the VFD to still work? Why have a wire go there in the first place? Thanks in advance (And just be glad You don't have to live with my brain!).

I think it works like other VFD's... you get 2/3 the power to the motor. some VFD's handle it better than others... I think the one in the Torq-cut's seem to handle it fine.
