Default Eztrak DAC Overflow During Homing Operation

    Hi

New here, hoping to get some help with an issue on a 2003 Series 1 Eztrak machine I've been to look at buying. I'm new to these machines and the software (I've had a manual series 1 for many years). Its a really clean machine, but while checking it out (the seller was clueless about it's operation, he had simply bought it to sell) I tried to go through the homing procedure. The first movement was on the Y axis, the table moving away from the machine. When it reached it's limit stop, it flashed up the following error code: "Alarm: Servo Y DAC overflow error" (from what i can remember)

Couldn't get it to do anything else after this. Tried several 'turning it off and on again' attempts, but same each time. With the key switch set to JOG, I could motor all 3 axis' without any problems.

Does the above point to an actual hardware fault with the machine, or am I doing something wrong? Obviously need to find out before I part with a not insignificant amount of cash!

    Many thanks.

Mine did that with the X axis. It was a bad mother board on mine.
