Hi Guys,

I just purchased a Bridgeport Interact 412X. I am using Solidworks 2011 to design parts, and I have the BobCam plugin ( I thought I would try it was very cheap, please no comments on this). I used to program OKK 5 axis machines and some Making A61's and A71's.

Here is my question:

I have g-code ready to go into the controller, in ISO format. When I programmed the makinos and OKK I would use work offsets G54, G55 ect. Does the Heidenhain TNC 2500 have this option? The ISO manual mentions G55 but doesn't explain it in enough detail.

Where I am lost at the moment (Could be a brain fart) is in my CAM setup, do I make the reference coordinate system for the Z at the tool change level? which is 300MM above the table? Or is there a way to set the control so I can call up a work offset which is the origin at the part.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Andy
