    Default Post for Fanuc

    Hi all,

Trying to modify my post for my milling, I'm with V28 and try to make it posting this command at every tool change : IF[#994EQ1] GOTO24.

It's a check to see if the commanded tool is already in the spindle, if it is, go to line 24 to continue, so no tool change.

Don't have support anymore from Bobcad, and I'm pretty new to modifying post so I thought I could ask my question here.

    Thanks a lot

My experience of Fanuc over the years has been that when Fanuc gets a tool change command eg M06T12 if that tool T12 is already in the spindle then the control already knows that and will ignore the tool change command and just carry on with the program so I have never needed to input any extra code

Thanks for your time, and glad to ear about this tool change issue, because our 3 fanuc (15t, 0i and 31i) have the same problem, we must have this line to avoid an alarm,
so do you think it would be a good idea to modify the tool change macro instead of the post ?.
