Modifieng objects afterward!
I am using BobCAD V23 as a demo version to learn the software. The help function of the software is nice, but after some hours of searching I can not find the help I need. Maybe it is based on the wrong words I put into the help. So I hope somebody can help me here.
What I want to do is to modify an object after I create it. E.g. I create a cylinder and after some work I find out that the diameter is to big. How can I modify the diameter? Is it possible to modify it also if I already placed some extra holes or others on/in the cylinder?
To modify a solid, you will need to use a Boolean function (add, subtract or intersect) under the Solid menu.
For your task of reducing the diameter, create the new, smaller cylinder in relative location to the old cylinder.
Use Solids > Intersect and window around both cylinders.
The result should be a smaller cylinder with all the features of the larger cylinder.
To find this in the Help, search "intersect"

I plan on learning the cad side pretty soon, but if you're used to autocad, bobcad cad is like writing left handed for a rightie.
Thanks for the help.
I got the same idea with my old CAD program. But I think it is better to not do it like that because than you can learn it faster.
I like the idea of moldmker. This function keeps the additional parts or holes. But this is not exactly what I thought it would be.
I once learn a bit the software IDEAS. You got a design history tree with all the modification you had done. If you find out that something was wrong you can enter this tree and correct it. For BobCAD it would look like that you have created a solid with the creation window. Than later if you want to modify some of the solid properties you click on the solid and you get this creation window again.
I found that point for entities that are only lines or arcs. Here you can click on it and with the right mouse button you get the popup menu with the point "enity modify". Click on that you are able to modify the properties of this object. But with solid it looks like that it doesn't work.
