help with system and manual tools please

How are you using your tools are you numbering them as you go are you using all system or manual tools or both in the same job I seem to run in to an issue and bobcad says I cant use both. Which if this is so oh well.

It seems to mess with my file and does not save properly.

I dont think it can be anything with having other things running at the same time on the computer email(outlook) internet etc.

It is a pretty powerful vista computer so I am not maxing it out.
Any help would be helpful I am going bald pulling my hair out.

What version are you useing?V22 had alot of bugs with tools.I always use manual tools and set the tool numbers as i go.

v23 do you have all your tools in your tool library or just put in the tool dia as you go.

Yes i put in the tool dia and pick the tool number as i go.I never found a need to use the tool library.And dont forget in the cam tree under milling tools/ verify tool assignment/ you can renumber tool there also
