Unexpected file format

What is "unexpected file format"?

I have seen this before and I thought I saved a drawing without the dongle,
but I know it was in when I saved it.
How do I get it back?

Tommt

See my reply in your other thread. This happens when one of two (maybe more) things happen.

1: A CAM feature gets corrupted that is stored with the drawing. This happened in Build 1465 when manual tools were used. The system would store the manual tool length as -0 which sucked.

2: This also happens if you try to open a file saved in - say Build 1478 - and attempt to open in an older build - say 1326. The older build won't recognize the new features added to the system.

I save my work every 15 minutes or so with a different name. It works well as well when I change my mind and decide to go back to a previous version to redo something.

I am glad I did the backup. Never the less I will start doing a backup more often.
I sure hope Bobcad fixes this one. I am starting to use it more and more since V23 came out.

Thanks for the help,
Tommy

This has been fixed in a test build they put up for users to try. The release should be up soon I hear. Hang in there.

I have been able to merge the corrupted file into a new drawing. The CAD information will transfer but the CAM information is not there however

The CAM doesn't come in. I believe the problem was manual tools being used.

The updated Version usually opens the old file with the Cam info too. I'm using 1493.
