Hi, I would like to somehow create placeholders in the gcode BobCad generates so that I can run a macro processor on it and add/replace chunks of gcode with stuff of my own. For example adding M00 stops to lock and unlock axis or adding a parametrized pocket cycle of my own. So far the only way I have figured we can do that is to use a dummy feature and pass the parameters in its name. Any other ideas? Thanks. |

| Sorry, I'm confused. Do you mean edit the generated g-code by hand? That is what I'm trying to avoid because I would have to keep doing that every time the code is generated. Do you mean edit the *.MillPst file to add the custom macros? How do we do that? Any links? Thanks! |

| I'm cool with editing the post... the question is more along the lines of creating your own parameterized features. It seems that the answer is no. Yyou can not define your own features, and you can not add a comments or spinets of gcode that are going to be outputted meshed in the desired sequence with other operations/features. You can probably work something out by using one of the standard features as a proxy that gets replaced later... but I have been doing editing in Predator instead and for the amount of code I generate that is working |
