Need Help!- Version 21 Questions

I have two seats of version 21 that I purchased when it came out. My question is, could I get a dongle for version 21? I would like to have the ability to use the program on several different computers.

Second question.

I use version 21 for my Bridgeport lathe. I think it was Chris that wrote the post for me years ago that will output in the conversational format. (.pgm) It works very well. Will version 23 lathe output in this format? I know it will work with the .txt files. I don't want to use that format because I want to be able to use the editor and the conversational features of the control.

Yes, you can now get a dongle for Version 21. You may have to buy a new seat of the software, but it is available.

Most of the posts for Version 21 can be done in Version 23. There will likely be some dvelopment time, especially if it is a conversational post. Which post is it that you use? I can look at it and give you a time estimate on it.

I believe it is the EZpath.pgm It is the conversational post with all of the canned cycles.

BobCad has called me several times wanting me to upgrade. I have had versions 18,19,20 and 21. When they went to the newer versions 22 I was told that they wouldn't give me a post that I could use on my EZtrak mill or my EZpath lathe that would output in this conversational (.pgm) format.

I understand that they will work in the .txt standard g code format. I don't want to use that format for the reasons that I stated earlier. The last time I talked to them was a few years ago when they went to the newer versions and they may have been swamped writing posts at that time.

Version 23 can generate the output for the EZPath systems. In conversational or g-code. There will be some work required, but it is possible. I would talk to support again and see what they have to say about it.
