I did not find a way to do these... I suppose you can always do it by hand, but I figure it is worth asking and perhaps I overlooked something ![]() 1) Fly cutting 2) Boring with single point cutting tool 3) Ramp milling, as in going down on an incline or spiral instead of plunging And... another question... What s that boring tool that BobCad has? It looks like an end mill with some shaft on the end? How do you use it? Where do you get it? Thanks! |

| Hi, I just looked at it again and could not find them. What are they called? The only one I see is "boring" but they use an end mill like cutter (at least that is the picture). The fly cutting and boring I'm referring to above are single point cutting tool operations. Did not find Ramp Milling either... that is like pocketing, but instead of plunging you move in all 3 axis at the same time and you kinda make a ramp as you go along... in the last pass you level it all. Thanks! |

| I have pro, but for some reason that feature is grayed out. I have to call BobCad ![]() On the fly cutter... It just occurred to me that I can define a large end mill (3 to 5 inches in diameter) and that should work... same idea for boring |
