Guys, How would I draw an ellipse that is spirally wrapped around a cylinder? The sizes aren't critical now. I'm trying to get the concept, then I'll add the exact sizes later. BTW, a simple outline of the spiral ellipse will be good enough for now. Thanks in advance!

| You could create a helix the size and placement of your cylinder, then create your ellipses and run the sweep command. Watch the lower left corner when your in your command for method tips. Pick an attachment point, then the ellipses then the helix. Here's a file to help illustrate. Last edited by BurrMan; 05-22-2009 at 03:24 AM. |
