Bobcad v19 simple skin issue (easy?)

Ok, here is what I do:

Take my 3d model (IGES) and I bring it into v19, then I change the surface and extract edges on the top and bottom faces..

Then, I need to know how to generate a skin..

The selected geometry on the top surface is a simple oval generated from the *extract edges*, and on the bottom it is a circle also generated from the *extractedges*.. Seems pretty simple so far right?

Now I want to skin from the oval to the circle to generate toolpaths..

I did it once and don't usually need it, and I forgot! How do I do this?!?!

Ok, you need to "set Path" on the 2 entities then the "skin function becomes available. I think you need to chain select so that both have equal sections.

This is done through the 3d menu.

AHA! That is what I was forgetting!!

the "Set Path" function was invoked the first time, and the second time I did not do it..

Now, next question becomes, *must* I have tool paths that go the longitudinally from the first x-section to the next, OR can I generate a toolpath that is spiral from the first x-section downward towards the second? (In V18, this was very good btw).

BTW, the only thing that keeps me from using v18 is the fact that it won't install on most of my machines nowadays..

Well we may need to wait for someone that knows the software. I see spiral as an option in the "connect" part but dont get the results I expect.

I'll watch and wait with you!

SSMrob,
Try this,
Go to 3d menu-More-Surface-Radial. This may be the path your looking for.
