Use a point for the start point of a profile. I want pick an actual point for the start of a profile. Can this be done with V23? For instance, I have a profile and wish to start say x-.4 and y-.6 from the profile. How do I get it to start there? Any help is appreciated. P.S. I have been one of the complainers before, but V23 really seems to be working quite well for us now. Thank you BobCAD. David

All you need to do is draw your contour to start at that point. You have lead in and out options under profile, but you don't have to use them, just set them to vertical. Draw the profile you want to cut, including where you want the tool to start and end , then turn it into a contour. Then cut. The contour feature tells the software where the tool will start and end and what direction the cut will be.

Thank you. I will try this. * It worked Perfectly. Thank you again. Sometimes I get so caught up into how the software I used to use did things, that I forget to try a few new things and see what happens when I get stuck. Last edited by dcskid; 03-18-2009 at 12:14 PM. Reason: add-on
