I need to add a font called ireland. Anyone know how to add fonts? Also, I have a customer that wants me to engrave his signiture into a part. Is there a way to scan a signiture and import it into bobcad to engrave it? Thanks, Ed |

| In order: To add a new font to V18 you simply add it to your fonts folder; 1) Go to your control panel 2) open the fonts option 3) go to "File" => "Install New Font" 4) locate and install the new font (NOTE: BobCAD will only recognize true type fonts that is a ttf font. Anything else is ignored) There is a lot more work to scanning and vectorizing a signature in V18. It is best if you use some form of Rastor to Vector program. See BobART thread on this forum. | Thanks, I got the font installed and it works good. I also downloaded a raster to vector program. It worked Ok. Imported into bobcad fine. There were a lot of disconnected lines and arcs. Is this normal or because of the r to v program? Thanks, Ed |

| The disconnected lines could be the result of either. The import of a dxf file from an outside CAD system. Or the way the program functions. BobCAD also offers a Rastor to Vector system, which works real well within the BobCAD system. Regards |
