Question... When I do a PROFILE can I force the program to output only the finish tool moves? I right click the icon in the cam tree and select blank but that does not do it... Same thing with the drill. I found out where to deselect the CHAMFER operation but I could not remove the SPOT DRILL... What am I doing wrong? Thanks, nelZ

For the profile have it to leave 0.00 on the sides and put 0 for the radius of the finish tool. You will have to select the number of passes, but this should do it. I have never got the drill function to work for me, so I write it by hand |

| I use bob cad for wood working so it is easier for me just to give a quick sand when I am done so I just use the "rough" tool setting and just make sure the finish pass does not have a tool in it. you of course can do it the other way around, just set the rough tool dia. to 0.00 and it will be omitted. |

| nelZ, To remove the Spot Drill from the drilling operation you need to do the following: Right click on Milling Tools under the CAM Part. Go to Part and select Tool Pattern. In the coloumn on the left select the Drilling operation you wish to modify, all of the 'child' operations will appear in the fields to the right. Select the Spot Drill and click on Delete. Click OK and add a new drill operation, you will see that there is no longer a Spot Drill in the Tree. (if you want to change the default drilling pattern you would choose default. this method will only modify drilling operations for the active drawing.) Regards |
