Need Help!- Z level roughing V22 ?

What is the trick to getting the Z level roughing tool path in V22 to start out cutting material on the the first pass ( by level) . It seems like alot of my attempted tool paths all start out cutting air above the part . I have all parts set with top at Z .0000 .

If I'm not mistaken...It will cut air when you specify a cutting allowance in the cutting properties....

Bobcad will look at the bottom of the part, raise up the amount specified in the "stock remaining" box, then each z level will be above that point by the amount specified in the "depth of cut" in the edit tool path section. So the top layer will be above the stock by less than the depth of cut. I always just go in and delete all the z+ layers.

Can you explain how you delete " all the z + layers " Are you talking about the tool paths above part zero ??

Sure
In the post editor (predator) , just highlight the code after the Z+ lines and hit delete. Be careful to go back look at the code to make sure you done crash a tool. You may want to add a Rapid Z.1 (assuming top of part is Z0.0)between the the blocks you edit.
