Hello , I would like to know how to edit a solid after the file has been saved and then opened up later to work on. I have been trying to go back and remove a simple fillet on a rectangle solid and just can't figure it out. Thanks for any help !!!!!! |

| BobCAD is not a history based modeling software. There are advantages and disadvantages to this approach but it means you are out of luck after you save and close the file. There's just no easy way to "undo" it. My practice when drawing solids in BobCAD is to use layers. I always keep a copy of all the building blocks in a separate layer before I do any boolean operations or filleting\chamfering. If I need to undo a chamfer or move a hole I just go back to my building blocks and recreate the part, making changes as I go. The very last thing I do is any filleting, again making a copy of my finished part before doing so. You could, of course, use boolean operations to try to put the material back or trim it off if you are careful. Sometimes this will have odd results, save a copy of your work. Hope this helps, and Happy Thanksgiving. It's off to grandmother's house I go.... SBC |

go to the utilties menu-stiching-unstich surface from solid. next delete what you do not want. now select the surfaces that are next to what you deleted. go to the utilities menu and extrat the edges. then you use this geomitry for a planner surface to replace what you deleted. hope this make sence |
