    Import solidwork .sldprt file

Can anyone help me with extracting edges from a solidworks solid so the I may generate a tool path to cut profile? I can open the file and I seem to remember I am supposed to unstich and flatten the solid, but I can't get the software to do it. Thanks JAck

Thank for your quick reply. I forgot to mention that I am using V21? I don't have utilities, but I can go to solids, extract edge. This gives me a 3 dimensional part. I need to flatten and I cannot remember how. BobCad will help me for $300.00! Jack

    Unselect all.
    Go to 3D > More... > Move to Z

There you can window select the wireframe and move to desired Z level.
Then run Change > Reorganize > Erase Doubles to clean up.
