I've got 19 and know it pretty well. The sales force is bigger than the code crunching force and I'm offered 22. The USB key is a plus. Is it worth it? How different is the GUI ? Any thoughts in general regarding software installation, bugs, crashes, hardware incompatibility issues? Thanks,

| Is it worth it? : Unless you need the added 3D paths that come with Pro package then NO. How different is the GUI ? : Completely. Download the demo. Any thoughts in general regarding software installation, bugs, crashes, hardware incompatibility issues? : Bobcad is still sorting things out. Yes, it's better now than when it was initially released, but there are still some serious issues. If you use it strictly in a hobby environment it may be tolerable, but any situation where time=$, you would suffer from purchasing v22 at this point. My opinions...others may differ. Good luck, moldmker |

| Well read these posts that Chris Corbell (AKA CNCdude) Closed and moved because he didn't like the input !! Conflict of Interest to have a BCC employee as a moderator !! http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59047 http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60339 I personally JUMPED ship. In March the program will have been out 2 years, and from what I can see on the forum................STILL DON'T WORK I am still using V21 it works unlike V22

| ..now that I think about it... on the BBC forum and one here. All I said was that after having BBS from 17 on I was unwilling to spend anymore time on v22 trying to work with a program that was quirky and seemed to hang up everytime I tried to use. I was accused of being a quitter and and not following up after asking for enough help. So...I am a quitter! And do not feel I should have ask for help every 5 mins. trying to get something to work, while I was losing business and all my free time! ![]() Steve |

Picture a NASCAR Driver with a cheap car that doesn't start half the time and breaks down all the time. Can he perform????? You didn't Quit!!!! To the Thread Starter NelZ, Upgrade to V21 and wait for V23 if your set on BobCAD. If you need something now look into Alibre Design with Visual Mill, or one of these http://www.cnczone.com/forums/index.php#cam_software . Good luck and I hope you get what you want and need. Cheers!!

| ..I really don't think of myself as a quitter...I was... in my own way... making a point. That sometimes the best thing to do in business, is walk away before you are !!I heard this in a movie once, and it always has stuck with me: "The Japanese have a saying...Don't fix the blame, fix the problem." I just fixed the problem and moved on. ![]() Cheer's - Steve PS: I agree with Toby NelZ... If you are going to buy BC buy V21 & stay away from V22. Maybe BC can regroup... but I'm done with them, other than using the Turning part of their CAM. When Alibre comes out with an embedded Visual Turn to go with my Visual Mill... well ...see ya BC. |

| However I just bought a M90 Dell lap top on Dells web site. Supposedly scratched and dented, but I cannot find either. I'm for buying that way now, the warranty is the same and the bucks are tough this time of the year. The M90 seems to fly but...I wouldn't want to go up against your T9400 hot rod! I've not yet gotten to the point where I generate big files or needed fast generation yet... to test the laptop.I look forward to seeing some of your work. | Hey that is a nice PC. It is the one I wanted but was discontinued. Cadalyst had a review 2 years ago that included the M90. It was rated A+ Across the Board. The pricing at that time was way more that what I paid for the M4400. You will enjoy that Lap Top and when you need it, The Power Is There!!!! Cheers!!!!!!!!!!
